Dupont, which is among the most coveted awards in journalism. Sanchez anchored CNN’s Award-winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina, NBC’s award winning coverage of the 911 attack, was awarded Florida Broadcaster of the Year for his coverage of Hurricane Andrew and has interviewed four US presidents as well as Russian President Michael Gorbachev, Cuban President Fidel Castro and Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega from behind bars.
