Carlos began his career in security in 1997, as a security guard while still in high school and progressing his career throughout the last 25 years, working in many capacities for some of the most recognizable brands in the world.In 2012 Carlos became a sworn reserve police officer for a city police department in Northern California, while continuing to progress his corporate career. During his time as a reserve police officer, Carlos was able to work with at-risk youths and act as a role model to them.

Currently Carlos is the Vice President of Global Security for a fintech company based in the San Francisco Bay Area and serves on the board of a non-profit that promotes public and private partnership to help protect our nation’s critical infrastructure and public safety. As a father of three school age children, Carlos is passionate about helping protect our communities, schools, and children from violence. Carlos has partnered with federal and local law enforcement, and corporate donors to promote threat assessment and management principles to our communities in the hopes of minimizing the risk of future violence.

Carlos lives in Northern California with his family and is currently pursuing his degree in criminal justice.
