TikTok Latinx Heritage Month 2024 Visionary Voices

What a joy to see platforms like TikTok celebrate 16 visionary voices who are shaping the future of digital culture and representation and using the platform to amplify Latine/x stories, creativity, and influence.

TikTok has launched an exciting lineup of initiatives to celebrate Latin Heritage Month 2024, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity within the Latine community. As part of the celebration, TikTok unveiled its Latin Visionary Voices list, highlighting 16 Latin creators, industry disruptors, and small business owners who use their platforms to inspire, uplift, and advocate for their communities. This year’s honorees represent the diversity and resilience of Latin culture, from motivational speakers like Alex Parra to culinary creatives like Toni Chapman.

In addition to the Latin Visionary Voices list, TikTok has introduced (we are so excited for this one 👀) #ShopLatinOwned, an in-app shopping experience promoting Latine-owned businesses, along with #CasaTikTok programming, which includes music playlists and exclusive content featuring Latine creators. The #CasaTikTok initiative has a goal to celebrate the influence of Latine culture on global trends while giving creators a platform to share their stories and connect with their audiences in new, meaningful ways. Yay for huge platforms creating space for us.

Pam’s thoughts on the impact of these initiatives: “TikTok’s celebration of Latine culture through the Latin Visionary Voices list and the #CasaTikTok programming is a powerful way to continue to share our stories. Latine creators, especially those featured in #ShopLatinOwned, represent the spirit of entrepreneurship and resilience, like nuestra gente. It’s inspiring to see platforms like TikTok honoring our heritage, and I look forward to continuing to see our collective voices being elevated through big platforms like TikTok.”

The Latine community has always been a driving force of creativity and innovation, and TikTok’s initiatives this month are a celebration of that powerful legacy. Take a look at this year’s visionary voices👇🏼
