EFT, more so known as Tapping, or Emotional Freedom Techniques, is a self-help tool that combines elements of traditional Chinese medicine, specifically acupuncture (meridian points), with modern psychology, and neuro linguistic programming. The tool is often used to alleviate emotional and physical distress. EFT/Tapping is based on the concept that emotional and psychological issues are often rooted in disruptions or imbalances in the body's energy system and through the “tapping” of the meridians in the body we are able to get back to regulation.
